High-Point Rendel was appointed by BP to provide commercial and contractual consultancy services for the review of 17 principal contracts undertaken by five contracting groups to establish the claims status for each contract and the strengths and weaknesses of each claim. Following BP’s consideration of recommendations, High-Point Rendel performed a detailed technical evaluation of the various Contractors’ claims, including assistance with responses, preparation of valid and sustainable counterclaims and back-charges, and assistance in the preparation of technical briefing papers for legal counsel.
