David Holmes is a chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of management, engineering and technical consulting experience spanning the aerospace, buildings and infrastructure, hydrocarbon processing, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical and fine chemical, power generation, and water and environmental industries.

He has worked on a wide variety of assignments throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East during which time he has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the design, manufacture, installation, inspection and testing of specialist process, mechanical, electrical, piping and instrumentation plant and equipment.

Prior to joining High-Point Rendel in 2001, David spent 14 years in the process industry specialising in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, food processing and waste management sectors. During this time he was responsible for teams of multi-discipline engineers and technicians designing, fabricating and installing air pollution plant, including scrubbers, incinerators, bag-houses, chemical tanks and associated pumps and controls for projects in the UK and Far East.
