The Iatan Power Plant is an 850 MW advanced high-efficiency coal-fired power plant for Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L), scheduled to open in 2010, that will generate extremely clean and reliable electricity from the US abundant coal resources.

High-Point Rendel performed a strategic commercial review on behalf of the EPC contractor (Alstom Power) relating to delay and disruption to work progress, entitlement to extension of time, damages for late completion and acceleration. Services included a site visit, development of strategy, formulation of commercial solutions and commercial settlement.
