JONATHAN GAMMON

Jonathan Gammon is a specialist in geotechnical and tunnel engineering with more than 37 years of international experience. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Geologist and has worked for both consultants and contractors. He is a highly motivated and enthusiastic expert, able to work equally effectively as a specialist team leader or as a member of a multi-discipline team. Jonathan has a unique combination of design office and construction experience that has been gained on a wide range of projects worldwide at locations on land, near-shore, and offshore. He has both UK and New Zealand nationality and is fluent in German.
Jonathan has sustained a technical involvement with projects throughout his career and provides expertise in inter-related key technical skills. He has significant experience of Project, Contract, and Risk Management and a broad appreciation of environmental, health, and safety considerations affecting planning, design, construction, maintenance, and de-commissioning. When working on major infrastructure projects, he has acted as the Client's Representative for Design & Build Contracts, has often been co-located with Clients for design, and has been a senior member of Resident Site Staff during construction.
Jonathan has held senior posts in professional organisations, has written or presented technical papers on a wide range of topics, and led Conferences or Workshops in the UK and overseas. He has provided wide-ranging expert services, encompassing tribunals, insurance claims, and dispute resolution. In addition, he has been an Expert Witness for disputes involving geotechnical and tunnel engineering and related technologies.
