Martin Smith has 48 years of commercial, contractual, technical and management experience in the buildings, infrastructure, industrial, process and power sectors throughout the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asian regions.

During his career, Martin has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of project management for both Employer and Contractor, of building and civil engineering, design, estimating, contracts administration, procurement strategy, risk identification and management, claims negotiation, expert witness appointments and dispute resolution. He is an expert in providing project management, commercial and contractual advice, particularly relating to commercial risk analysis, procurement strategy and project implementation.

As Head of Expert Services at High-Point Rendel, Martin provides leadership in claims analysis and settlement, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and litigation support as well as forensic, technical, delay and quantum analysis.

His expert witness appointments have related mainly to allegations of negligence by Engineers and Project Managers in design and construction services.
