The Shuaibah-III Independent Water and Power Project (IWPP) is the first IWPP under development in Saudi Arabia and the largest greenfield IWPP in the world. The 900 MW light crude oil-fired power and 880,000 m3/day (194 MIGD) desalination plant and associated facilities are located 100 km south of Jeddah, on the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

High-Point Rendel is providing specialist commercial and contractual advice to the Shuaibah Water and Electricity Company (SWEC). The scope of services include project monitoring, management of the EPC contracting JV (Siemens/Doosan), resolution of major claims submitted by the EPC contractor and vendors and preparation of counter-claims.
